about Tameer

Early Years

I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. Canada where I attended UBC and worked in a private residential Treatment Center for teens called Browndale, on Salt Spring Island.

From 1970-74 I unexpectedly found myself backpacking overland with my partner through SE Asia at a time when there were no travel books, internet shops or cellphones ... when postcards took a month to arrive home.

What began as a 3-month trip to Europe to make cheese in the Swiss alps, expanded into an unexpected amazing 4year overland adventure into the unknown. We traveled village to village on local transportation from Greece to Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Persia, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and finally Japan and Hawaii.
Our journey throughout mystical, magical SE Asia provided an endless parade of mind and soul challenging and expanding experiences.

In 1976 after returning home to Canada I delivered our son, Rogan, who was born with an innate natural capacity to love freely, without judgment. He taught me that at our core, we are all pure love.
In 1984 I attended Alberta College of Art to explore my love of weaving and papermaking.
In 1990 I graduated from Emily Carr College of Art and Design, majoring in sculpture and mixed media installation.

Later years

After my son left home I began to travel again, this time on my own.
Over the years I have been blessed with many unique, international opportunities to travel, study, visit ashrams and share in healing.

I spent 16 years living in Thailand. First 9 years in a small bungalow on the beach, on a small southern island called Koh Samui and the last 7 years in the north, in Chiangmai city (2nd largest city after Bangkok). I lived for many years in the jungle and learned how to be comfortable with poisonous snakes, millipedes, scorpions and other local habitat.

I partnered with local Thai and US based Rotary clubs to raise money for programs that assisted traditional Northern Lanna Herbalists with community AIDS treatments. We also arranged for western healers to come visit and learn from Golden Triangle Northern Hilltribe communities about their traditional Shamanic way of life, rituals, remedies and medicinal therapies.

During this time, I also traveled extensively to nearby India, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, China and Hong Kong as I explored new cultures and my own growing interest in healing and personal spirituality.  During this time I received trainings in Biodynamic CranioSacral Balancing and various other holistic modalities.

In Chiangmai I co-created a Healing Center called Healing Light and made regular trips by invitation to Hong Kong, providing healing sessions for a private group of families who had children with special needs.
Life was wonderful...!

In 2012 I returned to Canada to be of support to my son and his family with my grandson who is on the Autism spectrum.
I became interested in formally learning more about the healing energy with which I had been working. I discovered Donna Eden and her extraordinary Energy Medicine training called Eden Method.

My healing sessions are now a smorgasbord of various healing modalities, depending on what is needed by the individual person or animal with whom I am working, in the moment.

Education & Experience

Healing Modalities
Over the past 25 years I have received hands-on trainings in a variety of healing therapies including
CranioSacral Balancing, EFT, Reiki, Quantum Touch, Breath and Visualization techniques, and Eden Energy Medicine.

2002-2004 Qualified as a registered CranioSacral Biodynamics Therapist (BCST).
My gifted instructors were Bhadrena Tschumi and Kavi Gemin, co-directors of the International Institute for Biodynamic CranioSacral Balancing in Bern, Switzerland (ICSB).
I received 900 hours of training meeting international standards of professional CranioSacral Associations (IABT, BCTA/NA, CSTA/UK, Cranio Suisse®, ACSI) in Europe and North America.

2005 Participated in advanced CranioSacral Biodynamic trainings in Trauma Resolution, and Prenatal/Perinatal Birth Dynamics.
2013 Attended a 28-hour workshop titled the Embryo in Us, presented by Dr. Jaap van der Wal, PhD, a medical doctor and retired professor of Anatomy and Embryology at the University of Maastricht, Holland.

2016-2018 Certified as an Eden Energy Medicine (EEM) practitioner. I continue to explore and participate in related advanced energy medicine workshops and programs to expand my knowledge and experience.

Life Experience
My own cathartic healing therapies and spiritual awakening journey began in 1985 when I first traveled to ashrams in India.
This exploration and passion for presence and self-healing continues to this day.

1999 - present. Internationally, I have facilitated individual/group Energy Healing and Healing Art workshops and sessions for people of all ages and abilities, in many different cultures, communities and countries.

I particularly enjoy working with beloved pets, horses, and all other animals (domesticated and wild).

When she came home with me, she had only 2 front legs with which to get around. Her spine was severely curved and contracted. One back leg was a stump, cut off below her hip bone, and the other was withered, dragging behind her like a wet noodle.Within a week after daily 30 minute treatments, her spine uncurled, straightened out and elongated.

After a year of weekly sessions, the muscles in her withered back limb began to strengthen to the point where she could stand on that leg.

Such is the body's capacity for healing itself!
Unfortunately, she wasn't able to figure out how to walk upright on 3 legs ... too much time had passed. I had a cart custom made so she could scoot around upright (seen in photo).

We lived in the jungle and she and her cart regularly toppled over.  Ultimately, she decided it was safer and easier to use only her 2 front legs to get around while dragging her rear end ...and she was remarkably fast.

Although she was incontinent and had to receive daily hind leg stump duct tape bandaging, Hannah experienced immense joy in her life ... and she shared it generously with everyone around her.  She lived with me for 5 years before life became too difficult for her.
She taught me that happiness is a choice. ”

“For a number of years I provided ongoing healing for street dogs in a local Care for Dogs Rescue center in Chiangmai, Thailand. I found my dear companion dog Hannah in this center.  She was one of 60 abandoned street dogs in various states of ill-health.
Six months earlier she had been hit by a car and left for dead in the street.

I chose her because she was so happy and full of joy.
